Your parent's five states away, the hospital called and used words you had to look up, and somehow you're supposed to just... know what to do. Yea. That's not normal, and it's not your fault nobody handed you a manual. The adult child who's quietly become the case manager for a parent who lives far away — while still trying to hold down a full-time life you're not actually present for. You're not looking for a lecture on self-care. You want someone who already knows this system to hand you the map.
