Service Description

Medical appointments can feel rushed, overwhelming, and filled with unfamiliar medical terminology. It's easy to forget important questions or leave without fully understanding your loved one's diagnosis, treatment plan, or next steps. This service is designed to help you feel prepared, organized, and confident before your appointment. During our consultation, we'll review your loved one's medical history, current concerns, medications, recent test results (if available), and the purpose of the upcoming visit. Together, we'll identify your top priorities, organize your thoughts, and develop a personalized list of questions to ask the healthcare provider. I'll also help you understand common medical terminology, discuss topics that may need clarification, and provide guidance on what information is important to share during the appointment. The goal is to help you make the most of your time with your healthcare team so you can leave with a better understanding of your loved one's care plan. For families who would like additional support, you may choose to add up to one hour of Medical Appointment Advocacy. When available, I can attend your medical appointment virtually or in person to provide support, help you stay focused on your priorities, encourage important questions, and assist you in understanding the information discussed during the visit. This optional add-on is available for an additional fee and must be scheduled in advance. Whether you're preparing for a primary care visit, specialist consultation, hospital follow-up, or second opinion, you'll feel more confident knowing you're organized and ready to advocate for your loved one. Please Note: This service provides healthcare education, appointment preparation, advocacy support, and healthcare navigation. It does not replace the medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment provided by your healthcare team.
